A-1 Agricultural image/svg+xml

This district is intended to accommodate the needs of agriculture as a primary use and such residential uses as may be normal and necessary in an agricultural district. The primary purpose of this district is to preserve in agriculture use those lands generally suited for such use and which may have the ultimate potential for residential use but at this time are deemed beyond the current land needs for residential use. Residential development is limited to parcels being created by certified survey map per the town land division and development control ordinance, or by a planned unit development or conservation design development conditional uses. When the agricultural use is terminated in an area not developed as described above, those lands shall be rezoned to a different zoning classification that is consistent with the town’s adopted comprehensive plan in accordance with the amendment process described in this chapter.

B-2 Local Business image/svg+xml

This district is intended to accommodate a single retail or service establishment or a small grouping of such establishments that primarily serve the needs of the surrounding community. Because this district is characteristically located in a residential area along a major roadway, theses commercial uses need to be compatible in size, intensity, and scope with a residential area.

C-1 Conservancy image/svg+xml

This district is intended to include environmentally sensitive lands. Given the various development constraints associated with these lands, development is restricted to land uses compatible with these constraints.

P-1 Public image/svg+xml

This district is intended to accommodate publicly-owned facilities which serve a public use, such as education, recreation, medical care, or government.

This district was created in __ to accomodate a residential subdivision consisting of __ lots.

R-1 Residential image/svg+xml

This district is intended to accommodate medium-density lots primarily for single-family residences and other compatible uses. This district is intended to provide a "suburban" arrangement of amenities, services, and facilities on lots generally smaller than what is intended for the S-E suburban estates district.

R-2 Residential image/svg+xml

This districtt is intended to accommodate high density lots primarily for single-family residences and other compatible uses. This district is intended to provide a "suburban" arrangement of amenities, services, and facilities on lots generally smaller than what is intended for the R-1 residential district.

R-H Rural Home image/svg+xml

This district is intended to accommodate primarily single-family residences on scattered lots to foster and maintain the rural character and lifestyle of the surrounding area. The dimensional standards of this district require the largest lot size of all of the residential zoning districts.

S-E Suburban Estate image/svg+xml

This district is intended to accommodate low-density lots primarily for single-family residences and other compatible uses. The district provides a suburban arrangement of amenities, services, and facilities on lots generally smaller than what is intended for the R-H rural home district.
